Company introduction

Pro-Duck Ltd. is a Hungarian owned company, whose main business profile is the trade of poultry meat (chicken, pigeon) and other waterfowl meat (duck-goose).

The group also owns IVÁNYI Kereskedőház Kft., to which our processing plant is linked. We produce a significant quantity of our products ourselves and process them in our own slaughterhouse, while constantly monitoring high quality standards. This gives us visibility at all stages of production, so we can meet any customer requirements. We produce our ready-to-cook meat products in our FSSC and BIO-certified plant, with a high level of expertise and know-how. In addition, special requirements can be met, such as HALAL cutting.

My family has been producing fattened ducks and geese for 3 generations, I worked on the production lines alongside my parents. I used this knowledge to move to the commercial side of the business in 2009. The first 3 years were focussed on domestic sales, and then our company began shipping product abroad in 2012. By 2016, 80% of the revenue was from export trade, at that time mainly from waterfowl product. From 2020 onwards, the company has put more emphasis on the production and trade of chicken and pigeon products. Thanks to continuous improvements and strong market interest, these products now account for a significant part of our revenues.

For us, it is very important to keep what we have agreed with our partners and not to set things that we cannot deliver. This also applies to quality, quantity and delivery of goods. But we also expect this in return from our partners.

We can meet almost any customer requirement, both in terms of quality and delivery conditions. We can even deliver to Japan or Taiwan within 4 days.

Under the IVÁNYI brand you will find our chicken products, which are reared largely on maize feed.

Thanks to this special feeding and our in-house processes, these products are characterised by a succulent flavour and culinary quality. 

Thanks to manual processing, we can meet any special requirements.  

Our products are available in vacuum packs (up to 0.5kg), pre-chilled and frozen.

IVÁNYI PIGEON

Also under the IVÁNYI brand you will find our Pigeon products.

We are very happy to announce that after a long period there is a new slaughterhouse specifically for pigeons in Hungary, with UNIOS and Japanese permits. It is a great pride for us that this plant is our slaughterhouse in Jáka.

The pigeons are reared on our own farms, ensuring outstanding quality right through to production.

We have selected a breed of pigeon that has achieved great success in international markets. During rearing we pay particular attention to quality feed and a high level of animal welfare.

Thanks to strong market interest, we are constantly increasing our stock and production.

There is a strong interest in whole, pre-chilled or frozen forms. Sorted per 100g up to approx. 400g-650g.

In addition, of course, we can also meet other special requests (e.g. the production of pigeon breasts ).

IVÁNYI ORGANIC CHICKEN

The latest addition to the IVÁNYI brand is the BIO chicken range!

Our BIO chicken is a slower-growing species compared to industrial broiler chickens, which, thanks to free-range farming and BIO feed, has a nutritious, succulent taste!

IVÁNYI BIO chicken is GMO and antibiotic-free. Thanks to manual processing, we can meet any special requirements.

Our products are available in vacuum packs (up to 0.5kg), pre-chilled and frozen.

One of the guarantees of high enjoyment value is that we do not use any water cooling in our plant, striving for low cooking losses and the best is/meat quality.

The cuts of meat are gently hand-cut and processed to kitchen-ready quality.

BIO certification is subject to strict standards, from grain production to livestock
and of course at all stages of the production chain,
which are certified by internationally recognised certificates.

We work exclusively with small domestic producers, with production taking place in several locations around the country.

Our producers raise the poultry in free-range systems that meet BIO requirements. This method of rearing provides the animals with the same conditions as their natural habitat.

They are raised on a BIO certified feed mix provided by their own feed mixing plant. This feed contains controlled, GMO and antibiotic-free grains.

DUCK/GOOSE

WHAT MAKES OUR DUCK/GOOSE LIVER SO DELICIOUS?

Two types of duck/liver are commercially available: duck/liver steak and duck/liver fattened. The former is a smaller and less special-tasting type of liver, while the latter is larger, more crumbly and heavenly tasty. But what causes this significant difference in quality when both come from ducks? The answer is simple…

Free-range ducks are reared for only 6-7 weeks and in the vast majority of cases eat only feed and artificially produced food. On store shelves, they are called "duckling ducks". Our fattened ducks, on the other hand, are reared for 9-11 weeks, during which time they are fed a much larger quantity of natural mince. But! In contrast, our fattened ducks are reared for 9-11 weeks, during which time they receive a much larger quantity of natural mince. But! After this, a feeding programme of 2 to 2.5 weeks follows, and this is where the most striking difference in quality between the bacon and the fattened duck breed is.

During this period we feed our fattening ducks almost exclusively on maize. This intensive feeding cleanses the animals' systems to such an extent that the composition, quality and taste of their meat changes completely. So much so that they are almost incomparable to free-range ducks.

As we have a high number of sunshine hours in and around Kiskunfélegyháza, the nutritional value and taste of grains and vegetables is also outstanding. We feed our animals with these quality feeds, which is why our duck liver tastes so special.

The most valuable part of a fattened duck is the liver, which is usually eaten at festive occasions or in restaurants as an accompaniment to exclusive dishes. Our plant

In 2016, the group was expanded with the addition of a wholly-owned slaughterhouse in Jáka Bystrica, managed by IVÁNYI – Kereskedőház Kft. A property formerly used as a poultry slaughterhouse has been converted and modernised to meet the needs of trade and consumers.

As a result of continuous improvements and expansions at our plant, we are FSSC certified and BIO certified.

We have an internal commitment to produce and distribute only highest quality products of high enjoyment value, and quality assurance is an integral part of our organisation.
